To Make A Farm

An interesting look at a way of life that seems to be declining in modern society, To Make A Farm documents the lives of 5 people striving to live as farmers. The film catches them in the beginning stages of their farm development, people who are just starting out in this way of life and must completely alter what they know to succeed. While it is never easy to begin a new way of life, these young people are determined to go back to a simpler time where people literally provided their own food source.

Filmmaker Steve Suderman takes an interesting stance in his personal relationship to the concept of farming, being raised on a farm originally. He expresses his own struggles in establishing his farm and avoiding the mistakes he witnessed his family make.
